No. All compression runs in your browser with WebCanvas APIs. The file never leaves your device — you can disconnect after dropping.

How does it hit an exact KB size?

The encoder runs a binary search on quality (or scale for PNG), measuring each output. After ~7 passes it lands within ±2 KB of your target.

What's the difference vs. TinyJPG?

TinyJPG picks a single quality level and you accept whatever size comes out. photo2kb lets you say "I need 100 KB" and lands there.

Can I compress multiple files at once?
